UFC's Turnstile 141 event continued the tradition of offering a consistently diminishing event experience in both quantity and quality, all while charging a premium price. Dana White and Zuffa seem solely focused on monopolizing MMA, maximizing profits, and excluding women from competition, based on my experiences attending various MMA events. The Lesnar vs. Overeem showdown should have been a grand spectacle, but unfortunately, it fell short compared to our local fight nights in Madison. The contrast with Overeem's previous Strikeforce event in Dallas and the Hendo vs. Fedor matchup in Chicago was stark, where attendees enjoyed a spectacular show and a stacked fight card at a fraction of the cost. The empty seats at Turnstile 141 spoke volumes about the event's shortcomings. The decline from my experience at Mandalay for UFC 106 was quite noticeable. Strikeforce events offer better seating options closer to the action at a lower price point compared to UFC events. Strikeforce venues are equipped with display boards, viewing screens, proper lighting, and fight commentary, unlike UFC venues which lack these amenities.
